Recent updates for the TNSED Schools and TNSED Attendance apps focus on streamlining school management and student assessment for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Latest App Updates (December 2025)
Version 0.3.5 Release: The TNSED Schools app was updated to version 0.3.5 on December 17, 2025, primarily to improve data entry for student and staff records.
TNSED Attendance (v4.0): A specific update for the standalone attendance module was released on December 3, 2025. This version is optimized for Android 13 and is designed to handle daily attendance for teachers, non-teaching staff, and students more efficiently.
Module Separation: To reduce the frequency of full app updates and improve performance, the attendance feature remains isolated from the main TNSED Schools application as a dedicated lightweight app. Key Features & Usage
Ennum Ezhuthum Marks: Teachers are currently directed to use the TNSED application to upload marks for students in Classes 1-5 under the Ennum Ezhuthum scheme.
Integrated Modules: The primary app continues to support student/staff health screening, tracking out-of-school students, and teacher training registration.
TNSED Manarkeni: A companion self-learning app for students (aligned with the State Board syllabus) received a major content update on October 30, 2025, adding new bilingual animated videos for Math and Science.

Staff and administrators should ensure they are using the most current versions via the Google Play Store or the official TN Schools Portal to avoid performance issues like slow upload times.
