ORDER:
the letter read above, the Election Commission of lata had introduced the system of Booth Lesel Officers (BLOs for ensuring fidelity of Kantoral Rolls Teachers, Village Administrative Offers, Bill Collectors of the Local Bodies, Anganwadi/ICDS workers, etc. am being appointed Booth Level Officers. In addition is the reapemailsen sign their parent offices, they discharge the duties assigned by the mepective Birctural Registratios Officers (CRO and act an BLOs. The main feetima uf LOs are Reniving claims and objections, (ii) Hose in-house visit and checking of overlapping, migration, transler/shifting through the BLO Register, Identification of shifted/dead/non-existing fist Checking inclusion and exclusion errors, Reading Crema Rahasaison with Residents Welfare Associations in urban are for registration, i EPIC distribution, il National Voters Day artivities, vil Diatribution of Voter Information fläge dring elections, et tr rolle 2. In the letter 2 real above, the Election Commission of India, has xsaged for evaluation of BLOs performers through well defund layers of supervision and control. It has been instructed to devise a supervision mechaniam at various levels. The Commission has reiterated as donutione that the work of BLOs should be superviand imgularly through a battery of supervisors In Tamil Nadu, Deputy Tahsildar/Revenue trapector level oficers are appointed as Supervisors for Buath Level Officers. Each Supervisor shall have under his charge of not more than 10 BLO%. Supervisor shall maintain check on quality of work done by BLOs under his charge and closely moraltor their functioning as BLOs. He shall work as a link between Land RO/AROs Appointment of superviases will save a lot of matary
and time of BLOs required for recurrent meetings with EROS AEROs etc. Recessary data/inputs can be collected more conveniently through BLO supervisors rather than direct hum BLOs. The Commission has made it clear that the officers or appointment as supervisors shall be provided by District Election Officers. Since supervisors will be engaged in activities relating to revision/preparation/ updation of ralla, they shall also be deemed to be on deputativen to the Election Commission and therefee under the disciplinary control of the Commission under the provisions of Section 1300 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950

In the letter read above, the Election Commission of India has supertension of Commission's letter no. 23/Imst/2015-ERS dated: 08.07.2015, the Commission has directed that the following minimum semuneration should be granted to BLDs and BLO Supervisors Booth Level Officer (BL0jRs. 12,000/-O upervisor Rs. 16,000/-
Special Incentive to BLO (kar SSR/SR and any other special drivej 2,000/-
Hence, as per the extant instruction of the lection Commision of India, Rs. 14000/-is to be past for each BLOs per annum and s. 18000/-is to be paid for sach BLO Supervisors per annum. 5. The Government after careful sunsideration decided to enhance the lamp sum remuneration for Booth Level Officers from Rs. 6000/-Bx. 12,000/- per annum and to grant Rs. 2000/-as Special fncentive to BLOs for BSR/SE and any other special drise and also to enhance lump neration for LO thuperviance from 12,000/- to Rs. 18,000/-
